Born Pretty Store--1.5 mm Round Gold Studs Review

Hi loves! Today I have 1.5 mm round gold nail studs to review from Born Pretty Store. I used Essie Come Here (coral) and OPI Liquid Sand Honey Ryder (gold) for this mani. The studs are nice and small, but big enough to bring  attention to your nails. I really liked them because I didn't have to fuss with their orientation as compared to square studs. They didn't catch on anything and they were really easy to apply. I used topcoat as "glue" and placed them with tweezers. They stayed on well with no issues. I'm definitely going to have to get some of these in silver as well. You can purchase them here for $5.86. Use my code: NV7X31 for 10% off your purchase.

Ruby Wing Sunflower Swatch & Review

Hi beauties! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I'm graduating in exactly one month from today and I'm currently doing the last part of my nursing program, preceptorship! I can't wait to go nuts and paint my nails more often this summer. Today I have my first solar and scented polish to show you. It's Ruby Wing Sunflower. It's a lovely gold glitter polish in a clear base. I used 3 coats and topcoat for the swatch. Topcoat does not affect the color changing effect. It was easy to apply and reaches opacity at 3 coats. I really enjoyed the sunflower scent, although I have also read that it is a bit too strong for some people. Indoors the polish is a light gold and in direct sunlight changes to a very vibrant yellow gold. Both ways are nice, but I absolutely love the color in sunlight because it's so vibrant! You can purchase Ruby Wing polishes here.

Nail Polish Couture Sparkling Water

Happy Thursday! Today I have another indie polish to show you. Here's one coat of Nail Polish Couture Sparkling Water over a base of OPI Euros Euro. Sparkling Water is a sheer blue jelly with some holographic glitter. The holographic glitter is coarse, but smooths out nicely with topcoat. There's also some  beautiful blue shimmer in the polish as well that makes it look very vibrant (click photos for enlargement). You can purchase this from Nail Polish Central.

Nail Polish Couture Jaaziah

Hey ladies! Hope everyone had a good weekend. I did a blog makeover today. It took me awhile because I know very little about how to do a blog layout and use social media buttons, but I'm finally done and I really like how it looks. I'll probably play around with it a bit more when I figure out what the heck I'm doing. Today I have a thermal polish to show you. Thermal polish is becoming pretty popular with indie polish makers right now. They change colors when exposed to heat or cold. The one I have today is from Nail Polish Couture and it's called Jaaziah. It turns blue when exposed to cold and green when exposed to heat. I used 4 coats here and I used topcoat--yes, the thermal effect works with topcoat! You can purchase this from Nail Polish Central.

White to Yellow Spring Gradient

Hey lacqueristas! I did a bright white to yellow gradient a couple weeks ago for the start of Spring. I'm kind of late posting these, but I've been so busy that I just haven't had time to edit pics. I used a base of Zoya Purity and did the gradient using Zoya Purity, China Glaze Lemon Fizz, and China Glaze Happy Go Lucky. I topped it off with a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. I couldn't figure out what to put over the gradient, but I think it looked awesome on it's own!
