Nude, Gold, and Black Clouds

Hey lacquerheads! Today I have some cloud nails I did a couple weeks back to go with a LBD I wore to my very first club... and I'm 23 lol!! It was fun and my nails went well with my outfit. I was going to do chevrons at first, but as others have said before, the formula of Essie's Mirror Metallics are a little difficult to work with so I had to start over and I did clouds instead. I used OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons, Essie Good as Gold, and OPI Black Onyx for this. It's the second cloud mani I've ever done and it's still the quickest and easiest nail art I know how to do!

**Edit: A few of you have asked how to create this design, so here is the link to Nailside's tutorial that I used.

China Glaze Summer Neons and BM 319

Good morning! Today I have something very bright to show you, so get out your sunglasses! I was playing around with my China Glaze Summer Neons and I came up with this. I used a base of Zoya Purity and then randomly sponged on China Glaze Orange You Hot?, Pink Plumeria, I'm with the Lifeguard, and Sun-Kissed and then stamped using BM 319 in Konad Black. Kind of funky, but I love these kinds of colorful manis =]

OPI Black Onyx and Konad M69

Happy Friday! School is creeping up on me and I'm dreading it. I am trying to use some of the new polishes I got this summer before I become too busy to use them, so here I used my China Glaze New Bohemian Luster Chromes. I was going to pass on them entirely, but after I found out they work for stamping.. well you know what happened lol. For this I used OPI Black Onyx and stamped using Konad M69 in China Glaze's Deviantly Daring, No Plain Jane, Rare & Radiant, Swanky Silk, Unpredictable, and Want My Bawdy. It came out even better than I had hoped! I have only seen them stamped over black, but I'll try them over some more dark colors when fall comes around.

China Glaze Summer Neons 2012 Collection Swatches

Happy Humpday! Today I have swatches of China Glaze's Summer Neons 2012. I know there are swatches that have been out for awhile already, but the nail store I go to got them kinda late and I wanted to play with them before my summer vacation ends so here they are! There are 10 neons with shimmer and 2 vibrant jellies. All are shown with topcoat.

Ride the Waves. As you can see, it's a jelly and I still have some VNL after 3 coats so I probably won't be wearing it alone.

Splish Splash

Under the Boardwalk. This jelly was perfect in 2 coats.

Beach Cruise-r

Sun-Kissed

I'm with the Lifeguard

Orange You Hot?

Surfin' for Boys

Hang Ten Toes

Love's a Beach

Flirty Tankini

Pink Plumeria
Feel free to click on the photos to enlarge them. You'll be able to see all of the fine shimmer in them that makes them unlike any other polishes I own. I have not been too fond of neons in the past because they can be tricky to apply and usually chip quicker than other polishes, but not with these. I'm not sure if it's the shimmer in them that makes it different, but these are much easier to apply and last as long as other non-neon polishes I own. My only complaint is that they take quite awhile to dry. At first I was doing 2 coats of each, but then started doing 3 thinner coats to allow them to dry better. I'm kind of sad summer is coming to an end, but that will not stop me from wearing these!

Neon Chevrons

Goodmorning my pretties! Today I have some very bright nails to show you. I did these a couple weeks back and I wasn't planning on posting them, but I changed my mind. I wasn't completely happy with these due to the major shrinkage that I got when I applied SV topcoat. The China Glaze Summer Neons are kinda thick and take awhile to dry so you can imagine what happened after 2 coats of each color. When I only had the yellow and green on, my nails looked like little corn husks and I almost went in with a black nail art pen to finish the corn look lol. I used China Glaze Sun-Kissed, I'm with the Lifeguard, and Splish Splash.

A England Saint George, Princess Sabra, and Dragon Tape Mani

Happy Saturday! I actually didn't even realize it was Saturday until just a little while ago. Oh how I love summer! Today I have a simple tape mani that I did using three A England polishes. I don't know why, but I really just don't want to stamp over any of them. I feel like I'm going to ruin their beauty if I do. Hopefully I will be able to bring myself to try stamping over them sometime. That probably made me sound psycho lol. For this look, I used A England Saint George, Princess Sabra, and Dragon. They're all so beautiful and sparkly!

A England Saint George Swatch

Good morning lacquerheads! I don't usually wear a lot of polishes on their own, but for some reason, I feel like my A England polishes cannot be stamped over because they're so pretty and special. A England Saint George was one of my lemmings for the longest time, but I finally got it a couple weeks back and here it is! It's a very saturated scattered teal holo. I used 2 coats here. The only thing that sucked was that my brush in this one was pretty jacked up. I got six A England polishes last month and a few of them actually have messed up brushes so I'm not sure I'll be getting anymore. Does that happen to a lot of you ladies with this brand or did I just get unlucky?

China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard and OPI Ogre the top Blue

Hey my polished pretties! Today have a simple striping tape mani from when I was playing with my China Glaze Summer Neons. Here I used China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard, applied some striping tape, and then used OPI Ogre the top Blue. Creating this look was super easy! I think I'll do this again if I'm really lazy lol.

China Glaze Flirty Tankini and Konad M79

Happy Sunday! I can't believe I have less than a month before school starts again. I will savor these next few weeks doing my nails before I have to go back. I have to say, I have been very uninspired lately with all the stealing of photos that has been going around. First it was just on Instagram, but it has been brought to my attention that it is also happening on FB. It makes me so angry to see not only my work, but other bloggers photos with no credit given to the artist, the watermarks cropped out, or even someone else's watermark on top. I literally spent hours last week reporting photos. Happy to say they were all removed, but wow, it is time consuming and I can't keep up. Hopefully it dies down so I can get back to focusing on my nails. Has this been happening to others and how have you ladies been dealing with it?

Sorry for the rant--back to my mani. I used China Glaze Flirty Tankini and stamped using Konad M79 in Konad Black.

China Glaze Under the Boardwalk and OPI Crown Me Already Glitter Sandwich

Good morning beauties! Today I have my second ever glitter sandwich. I got this idea from Rebecca's glitter sandwich here. It's rare for me to actually have the polishes for a mani I want to re-create so I couldn't pass this one up. I used 2 coats of China Glaze Under the Boardwalk, 1 coat of OPI Crown Me Already, and then 1 coat of China Glaze Under the Boardwalk. I suppose I could've went a bit thinner on the last coat of Under the Boardwalk, but I still like this look nonetheless.

A England Perceval and Freehand Nail Art

Hi loves! My previous post was just a swatch of A England Perceval and it was so beautiful I couldn't bring myself to stamp over it. I attempted some freehand nail art on top of it with black and white acrylic paint. I got some acrylic paint last month and haven't really used it, so I'm glad I finally justified my purchase lol. I liked working with the acrylic paint because I was able to wipe off my mistakes with water  and try again until I liked the result. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but I didn't expect them to turn out so well. I'm kind of proud of myself!

A England Perceval Swatch

Hi pretties! I bought my first A England polishes last month when The Mythicals were on sale. I got Perceval, Tristam, and Lady of the Lake. Immediately after I placed my order, I decided to go all out and I placed an order on Ninja Polish for St. George, Dragon, and Princess Sabra. Why prolong the inevitable right? Lol I'm eventually going to want need them! Anyways, I decided to use A England Perceval first and since I couldn't bare to stamp over it, so here it is on its own. What a beauty!

China Glaze Peachy Keen and Bundle Monster 305

Happy Saturday ladies! Do any of you ever have a lack of nail inspiration? I do sometimes, but no need to fear, Pinterest is here! I love getting ideas from the stuff I see on there. I saw a beautiful mani from Pshiiit and I immediately had to recreate it. She used tape to create this look, but lucky me, I found a stamp that reminded me of it. I used China Glaze Peachy Keen and stamped using BM 305 in Essie Good As Gold. I'm kind of loving these =]

Pink to Purple Gradient Cupcake Nails

Good morning! Today I have an adorable cupcake mani to show you. I can't believe I waited awhile before using this image, it's so cute. I first did a base of China Glaze Something Sweet and then did a gradient using China Glaze Something Sweet, China Glaze Dance Baby, and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lively Lilac. Lastly, I stamped using BM 307 in Konad White. I just love how the stars and dots around the cupcake make it look so whimsical.
